Jonathan Buckle was instructed on a direct access basis by a father and husband going through proceedings where he needed representation for both the child arrangement and financial remedy matters.
The client had previously instructed a solicitor but felt that the costs far outweighed the value of the advice he was receiving. Jonathan held an initial consultation with the client and after reviewing the papers gave an honest appraisal of what the client could realistically expect to achieve.
Jonathan was successful in convincing the court to award his client the former matrimonial home and retain his pension. Jonathan was also successful, after a complex four day hearing involving numerous experts, in persuading the court that the children’s best interest would be met by placing them with the father to live.
